I am interested plant disease and forest health. I study a group of invasive plant pathogens called Phytophthora. For my MSc, I studied the species that causes Sudden Oak Death in North America and Ramorum disease in the United Kingdrom. Now I am working on a survey of Phytophthora species in the Fynbos of South Africa using citizen science.
