Dr Kathleen (Kathy) Wilson (PhD, MMgt, BA(HONS)) is a Lecturer in Management, Operations and Supply Chains at Swinburne University. Kathy is also a crowdsourcing, sports innovation and social impact researcher. Kathy formerly lectured in Management at The University of Melbourne in the Faculty of Business and Economics where she completed her PhD in Crowdsourcing in 2015. She has recently published in the International Journal of Operations & Production Management in Crowdsourcing, Project Management and Innovation and has delievered papers at the prestigious Academy of Management Meeting. Kathy’s academic speciality is crowdsourcing, project management, innovation, value creation, qualitative research, sport innovation, social impact and business models. She was on an APA scholarship and awarded a PhD for her research into 8 of the world's biggest and most successful crowdsourcing firms based in the USA, Canada, Australia & Nepal.

Kathy was formerly a Management Consultant at Pearson in business development, tender projects, engagement, distributed workforces, innovation and strategy. Kathy also was permanently appointed in a long-term role as senior Project/Stakeholder Manager, Program Manager and Foreign Investment Advisor in the Vic Department of Economic Development. She project managed a million-dollar government project facilitating innovative collaboration and business development in Victoria's ICT industry. She also was an investment attraction, trade & business development specialist in the ICT and Biotechnology sectors and managed Ministerial International Trade Missions.
