Jordi is dually trained in Computing Science Engineering by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and in Enterprise Management and Direction also by the UAB. Further to that, he also holds MSc in Telemedicine and E-health delivered by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and is currently a PhD candidate on Information Society also for UOC. His PhD project entitled “Assessment of ICT-enabled innovations into the health and social care environments: the use of the cost-effectiveness analysis” is researching into the validity of different Health Technology Assessment (HTA) models for cost-effectiveness analysis for proper decisions making. He started working at BSA in year 2000, first as an analyst and software developer inside the ICT Department where he actively participated in the deployment and implementation of the Electronic Medical Record and in a number or research and innovation projects. Nowadays he shares his responsibilities both leading the IT Department and the Research & Innovation Department. He is currently Professor Collaborator at the Open University of Catalonia and Co-Director of the Chair UOC-BSA on Data Analytics in health and social care.
