Dr David Robie is Professor of Journalism and Director of the Pacific Media Centre in Auckland University of Technology's Pacific Media Centre. He is a former head of journalism at the University of the South Pacific in Suva.
For more than two decades he has focused on covering the Asia-Pacific region. He has reported on post-colonial coups, indigenous struggles for independence and environmental and developmental issues.
