More leaks have been spotted online just days before the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is unveiled this week. Meanwhile, the company has reportedly seen an enormous demand as it opened reservations for the upcoming device.
Latest Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 leaks
The company remains a little secretive about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, but more clues about the device’s launch have been discovered recently. A promotional poster was photographed in a Xiaomi store in China, referring to a device with the same name.
Since it was an in-store poster, it does not say much about the device’s technical specifications. But the photo that was shared on Weibo (via Notebookcheck) provides a clear look at the phone’s rear. Based on the image, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 would sport a massive main camera, along with at least two more sensors that also look quite large lenses.
The same poster also hints at how the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 display would look like. The device appears to sport a screen with curved edges and thin bezels. The front does not have a notch or a hole-punch provision for the selfie camera. Also, the image suggests there is no motorized pop-up module. It corresponds with recurring rumors that the device will ship with an under-display camera.
MySmartPrice also found a new Geekbench 5 entry uploaded last Friday for a device identified only as Xiaomi 2106118C. The publication believes it is the model number for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, giving tech fans an idea of the core technical specifications the phone will have.
The device tested on the Geekbench 5 runs on Android 11 and is powered by a chipset with identical specs to the Snapdragon 888+. The unnamed octa-core SoC has four processing cores at 1.80GHz, three cores at 2.42GHz, and one core at 3.00GHz.
Xiaomi reportedly receives 230,0000 Mi Mix 4 reservations
With the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 no longer a secret, MyDrivers reported that the company opened slots for reservations ahead of its announcement this week. And it appears that there was already a huge demand for the high-end device in China as retailers, including Mi Mall, JD, and Tmall, are said to have collectively received 230,000 reservation requests for the device.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 could also ship to other regions, but tech fans will have to wait for further announcements on this matter. Meanwhile, the company has confirmed that a launch event is slated on Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 7:30 p.m. CST / 7 a.m. ET.
