Song Hye Kyo is making headlines because she is allegedly selling her home for a much cheaper price. It was said that the actress put her mansion up for sale far from its original price of KRW8.2 billion or US$6,736,500.

This news came out a week after it was reported that Song Joong Ki is demolishing the home he once shared with Hye Kyo. in other words, it was their newlywed home and he is planning to replace it with a 5-storey mansion. The demolition job was said to have started already.

Hye Kyo says it’s not their marital home

While Song Joong Ki’s agency refused to comment on the questions about its artist’s move by saying, they don’t know because it’s his personal life, Song Hye Kyo’s rep steps in to clarify the reports. As per Allkpop, the actress’ camp denied that she lived in the home that her ex-husband is demolishing right now.

She said that while it could be true that Joong Ki is building a new home on that land in Itaewon, the house that once stood there was not their marital house. The actress insisted that she never visited that property, not even when they were married.

"The house that Song Joong Ki is tearing down is owned by Song Joong Ki and was not the Song-Song couple’s newlywed home,” the actress agency stated. “Song Hye Kyo has never lived in that house. It's being reported as if it was a newlywed home but that's not true."

An “eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth” response?

Now, after issuing the clarification after Song Joong Ki’s home, Song Hye Kyo also addressed the rumors about selling her home in Samseong-dong. It was previously reported that she put this up for sale because it holds many memories of her marriage, Today Online reported.

United Artist Agency, Hye Kyo’s management company, stated that it has been a year since the actress list her home as for sale so there is no truth that she is suddenly rushing to sell it. By now, the property may have a new owner already since it has been a year since it went up for sale.

“It’s disappointing that misinformation that infringes on her privacy has been reported,” Today Online quoted UAA as saying in a statement. “That property was put up for sale a year ago and there was a misunderstanding that she wanted to sell it quickly, which caused undue speculations.”
