It is not a question whether “Rick And Morty” season 5 is coming back because it has been confirmed since 2018. The installment was not specifically mentioned but because the show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland received an order to do 70 episodes when season 4 was renewed, then it automatically means that the series will continue for at least six more seasons.
Season 5 will arrive faster than the previous installments
As the production team already knew that there will be “Rick and Morty” season 5, they have worked on the episodes in advance. With that said, fans can expect the next batch of episodes to drop faster than the first four seasons.
Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon also confirmed last year that this seems to be the case since they got the order two years ahead. “We’re rolling right into the next batch (season 5) and the plan has always been to get them out quicker,” Roiland explained to Entertainment Weekly.
Harmon added: "I think it's safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons three and four will be the longest and last time that it's ever so long that it's ridiculous.”
But then again, Harmon admitted that although they stated that “Rick and Morty” season 5 will arrive quicker, they do not know how fast they can actually work on the new episodes. Still, he assured fans that the waiting time will never be as long as season 4.
What to expect in season 5
The plot or concept that will be used on the fifth “Rick and Morty” sequel is unknown at this time. But the first episode was already done since September of last year. This was revealed after Jess Loveness posted the scripts he wrote for the series on social media.
Finally, Digital Spy suggested that there will be more time traveling for Rick in “Rick and Morty” season 5. The popular “Interdimensional Cable” format might be back as well as the Evil Morty. In the finale of the last season, Beth was cloned and it seems that her robot self will also return in the upcoming episodes.
