“Power Book II: Ghost” has been designated to be the first sequel of the highly successful “Power” drama series that ended with six seasons in February. Ghost died in the finale, so it is not certain how his character will play out in the upcoming episode as his name is in the title.
Ghost’s role in Book II - a theory
There is a possibility that he could still be alive since it was not shown how his body was disposed. As early as November 2019, there are theories that James “Ghost” St. Patrick had faked his death so he can live a new life in a faraway place where he would not be recognized.
But then, until now, there is no solid evidence that points to the fact that he is alive. Perhaps, this will be shown in “Power Book II: Ghost?”
If this is indeed a correct assumption, Ghost will not be the same person that the viewers have come to know. He will surely be someone who’s laidback and living a very simple and quiet life somewhere.
Confirmed Book II story synopsis
Curtis James Jackson III or more commonly known as 50 Cent, remained as “Power Book II: Ghost’s” executive producer. In one of his interviews, he dropped a major spoiler by revealing the upcoming episode’s synopsis.
“When ‘Power Book II’ comes, it picks up 48 hours from the last episode,” he told USA Today when asked what the viewers can expect in the first sequel. “You'd still be dealing with the emotional feeling from the loss that the characters went through here.”
In any case, Starz also shared that “Power Book II: Ghost” is consists of two episodes, and these are “First Look” and “Power Universe” as the second story. The TV network posted this information on its own web page.
New cast to watch out for
In separate interviews, 50 Cent and showrunner Courtney Kemp confirmed that there will be new cast members in “Power Book II: Ghost.” They revealed that they will play important roles and their characters will be one of the main highlights as well.
“Power Book II: Ghost” has included Mary J. Blige and Method Man in the cast lineup. Meanwhile, this drama sequel is set to premiere this summer.
