Donald Trump’s wife Melania is in the headlines once more after she defended herself over unflattering comments made by a commentator back in 2016. However, someone reposted a copy of her interview on Twitter, which created a storm after netizens aired their comments on the social media platform.
It all started when MSNBS host Chris Matthews made a remark about Melania Trump’s “robot-like demeanor” in the 2016 elections, according to Express. “Did you see her walk?” Matthews asked. “Runway walk. My God is that good. I could watch that runway show.”
Melania Trump was not too happy with Matthews’ comment. She had her chance to get back at him during an interview with the Dejour magazine in 2016.
“Unbelievable,” Melania said. “That's what I'm saying! I'm not only a beauty. I'm smart. I have brains. I'm intelligent. I would say men will be men.”
Melania also added that to be married to a successful person such as Donald Trump, one must be smart enough. “Somebody smart, you know it's not like I'm there and I'm just doing things for him,” the FLOTUS said.
But Twitter users are not so impressed with her choice of words. “If somebody has to announce they're smart, they usually aren't; they're only insecure,” one user commented.
“Who told her she was beautiful?” another one questioned.
“There's no beauty in that woman,” a Twitter user even suggested that whatever beauty she had has long been gone. “Selfishness, greed, and vanity took it years ago.”
But those were not the only shocking claims she made in that interview three years ago. She even said that Michael Jackson wanted to prank Donald Trump by suggesting he and Melania stage a kissing scene to get the POTUS jealous.
“It was here in New York in the Pierre Hotel,” Melania said. “Jackson called us, so we went over and had dinner. Just after dinner, we were chatting on the sofa, and my husband went into another room to see some art somebody wanted to show him."
“And Michael said to me, ‘Hey, when Trump comes back, let's start kissing so he will be jealous!’” she added.
