In the midst of growing speculation regarding the marriage of former President Donald Trump and former first lady Melania Trump, more revelations come to light by Melania’s former friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff. The author and former aide recently shared who she believes the former president would favor between Melania and her stepdaughter Ivanka Trump.
Wolkoff, who wrote the tell-all memoir detailing her friendship with the former first lady, “Melania and Me,” shared that while the book may be focused on Melania, it also reveals the feud between the former first lady and her stepdaughter. Wolkoff also shared that she hoped her recounting of events during her time in the East Wing would also shed light on Ms. Trump’s attempts to undermine Melania. The former aide also said that while Melania may be just as complicit with her husband’s behavior, it is Ivanka’s political future she is wary of, especially as Trump appears to favor Ivanka more than the rest of his children, even Melania.
“One of the reasons why I wrote “Melania and Me” in the way that I wrote it...was to highlight the way that Ivanka would usurp Melania and all the traditions of the White House and didn’t care about any rules and didn’t care about anyone else,” said Wolkoff. “And that to me was just as important, getting that out to the world, to the country, to know who Ivanka was, more than even Melania.”
The former aide also described the former first daughter as “Donald in a suit,” where she admitted that if Trump had to choose anyone, it would have been his eldest daughter.
Meanwhile, Trump is currently facing a number of legal battles, one of which is his upcoming impeachment trial before the Senate that will take place next week. An expert has since claimed that the former first lady has to act quickly in divorcing the former president before more charges are made against him. Brand and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer told the Daily Star that the current charges that are being made against Trump are red flags on their marriage. As a result, Melania’s advisers may tell her to move fast in divorcing Trump while he still has the money to shell out.
