Lee Min Ho is currently starring in “The King: The Eternal Monarch,” and this is his very first drama after completing his mandatory military service. He was discharged in April 2019, and apparently, it took a year before fans were able to see him again through this project.
End of filming announced
Now, it has been nearly two months since the drama premiered, and it was announced that filming is coming to an end. On May 29, Hwa & Dam Pictures, the producer and distributor of Lee Min Ho’s drama, also revealed that there are four more episodes before the drama concludes.
As per Newsen, the cast and crew filmed for a total of eight months. The production began in October 2019 and the last filming day was on May 28 at the Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do province in South Korea.
“The shoot for ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ that started began in October of last year, and it was completed on May 28,” the studio said in a statement. “We would like to thank the cast and crew who did their very best for the new and different parallel-universe fantasy romance. The drama’s unpredictable and endlessly eventful story will continue to unfold in the remaining four episodes.”
Hwa & Dam Pictures also asked the viewers to watch Lee Min Ho’s drama until the end. The actor and Kim Go Eun have finished their scenes and it is good to know that together with the rest of the cast, they have completed the filming safely. Everyone knows that we are facing the COVID-19 crisis so the safety of everyone is the main concern while at work.
What will be the actor’s next project?
Lee Min Ho is likely to take a break after “The King: Eternal Monarch” finished its run on SBS. It was confirmed that the last broadcast date is on June 12.
It is still not sure what his next project would be but he is most likely to star in a new movie to make his comeback on the silver screen as well. In any case, the drama has been slightly delayed as only episode 13 was released last week.
