White House adviser and first daughter Ivanka Trump has only a few weeks left until she is to step down from her post in the White House. As the Trumps campaigned for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in the Georgia Senate runoffs one more time, Ivanka got into a little Twitter mishap in her post about her father.
Ivanka tweeted a photo of herself and her father Donald Trump on Air Force One on the way to Georgia. However, many noticed the unusual detail in the post, as Ivanka mistakenly tagged the singer Meat Loaf instead of her father in the photo. Ms. Trump tagged White House Communications Director Dan Scavino, the Republican party, and Perdue and Loeffler but not her father. It should be noted that the singer and former contestant on the Celebrity Apprentice also has “Real” in his Twitter username.
Many users mocked Ivanka’s Twitter mishap shortly afterward. Some expressed confusion at the unusual tags while others commented on her facial expression in the photo. Former NBC Universal executive Mike Sington tweeted, “Ivanka calls her dad Meat Loaf. I think she’s trying to tell us something, like in a hostage video.”
CNN’s DJ Judd, who was among those who first noticed the mistag, tweeted, “One assumes Ivanka Trump did not mean to tag Grammy-winning musical artist Meat Loaf in the selfie she took with the President aboard AF1 en route to tonight’s rally in GA but at this point in the cycle a surprise Meat Loaf appearance wouldn’t even be *today’s* weirdest thing.”
With many speculating what Ms. Trump may pursue after her stint in the White House, it is believed that she may be eyeing a political run of her own. Last week, Ivanka shared a tweet of Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds commemorating the day in 1846 when Iowa became the 29th state in the Union. Iowa also happened to be the first state to vote during the presidential primaries and went to her father in the recent elections. However, her father is considering running again in the 2024 elections which might not be favorable for Ivanka if she ever thinks about a White House run.
