“iZombie” fans rejoice! The zombie series is set to return for Season 3, according to a couple of released images.
First up is a teaser photo showing the main cast members of “iZombie” - Liv Moore (Rose McIver ), Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin), Peyton (Aly Michalka), Blaine (David Anders) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) are shown - hamming up for the camera with the season premiere date, April 4. The photo, which was tweeted via @CWiZombie, came with the caption that read, “Zombies are coming back to The CW with the premiere of #iZombie on Tuesday, April 4 at 9/8c!”
Comicbook.com noted that Moore’s lively appearance could be or could not be an indicator of her character’s state in the upcoming season.
The second image came in the form of a teaser, which showed a still-zombiefied Liv as Che Guevara, with red color that looked like blood marking her bottom lip. The poster came with a title that read “Zombies Unite,” which would not be good if Liv and the gang are trying to eradicate the zombie plague.
But a bigger question arises: Where is Major (Robert Buckley)? Although he isn’t present in both promotional images, The Inquisitr wrote that Major will still be in Season 3, and will apparently work in tandem with Liv when it comes to eating the brains of the victims ending up in Ravi’s morgue.
“At the beginning of Season 3, Liv and Major eat the brains of a father and teenage daughter who were killed in a car accident, and because the iZombie writers love us and want us to be happy, Major eats the brains of the daughter. "It wasn't a stretch at all. That's just who I am," joked Buckley,” according to a TV Guide write-up.
