Formula One has inked a long-term global license agreement with Kindred Concepts that combine simulation racing and gaming and offered as many as 30 venues worldwide across the next five years.
The two firms would work alongside Studio 397, part of Motorsport Games, to create the new gaming experience inspired by the rFactor 2 game.
The target locations of the venues include the US, the UK, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Plans for the new locations also include special events during Formula One race weekends.
Kindred Concepts will open the first of these venues at the One New Change complex in London in the fourth quarter of 2022.
There are 60 bespoke motion racing simulators being developed for the London site, where guests will be able to choose from a selection of racing modes to compete in teams or individually.
The experience locations will cater to entertainment customers and corporate event planners.
Ben Pincus, director of commercial partnerships at Formula One, described the racing simulators as bringing to life the experience of driving a Formula One car, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy and get closer to the world of Formula One.
