Ellen DeGeneres has been accused of bullying and causing a toxic atmosphere in the place where she works. There are staff, including those who are not working with “The Ellen Show” host, who alleged that the 62-year-old is really mean behind the camera and these accusations have been affecting the show already.
While “The Ellen Show” recently returned for its season 18, it was said that the scandal has not stopped. In fact, even with Ellen DeGeneres’ on-air apology during the show’s premiere, last month did not help in winning the audience back as shown in the declining ratings.
Ellen is securing his future
Now, the National Enquirer reported that with how things are going, Ellen DeGeneres has put her paintings up for sale to raise money for fear that she would be fired from her own show. The tabloid alleged that the host is selling $10 million worth of paintings from her art collection.
“She believes the cruelty stories surrounding her studios will destroy the show so she needs to squirrel away emergency cash,” the so-called source told the magazine. “She won’t have enough to fund her current lifestyle without her talk show duties.”
It was added that selling her precious art collection is a difficult decision and in fact, it kills her to have to part ways with her paintings. However, she has no choice because she needs money in case she no longer has a show to host on TV.
Is it true that Ellen is raising funds amid fears of firing as “The Ellen Show” host?
Gossip Cop looked into the situation and determined that while it is true that Ellen DeGeneres sold off some of her art pieces for $10 million, the National Enquirer’s claim that this is due to the host’s fears of being fired does not make sense. In short, it is not true that the host is raising funds because she could be axed from her TV program.
GC pointed out that selling the artworks is not an indication that Ellen is preparing in the event that she’s removed by the bosses from her talk show.
And, it should be noted that even if Ellen retires or gives up her hosting job, she could still live comfortably as she is one of the highest-paid celebrities in the U.S. which means she is loaded. It was also stated by the show that they will continue and no one is quitting as well.
