‘Dr. Stone’ season 2: Series is confirmed and here’s the plot, release date and other details to know

“Dr. Stone” season 2 will be around soon, which is good news for the followers of the anime. It should be noted that the return of the show has already been confirmed late last year, so it is clearly in the works and not just some kind of rumor. The announcement was made through a promotional video that was uploaded by TOHO Animation.

Season 1’s finale recap

In the finale of the first season, Senku and the villagers were able to produce a cellphone that they needed for their battle against Tsukasa. They also uncover a recording that was left by Senku’s dad, Byakuya Ishigami.

It was enclosed all along in a rock that they thought was a headstone of the astronaut’s grave. When the recording was played in the phonograph, they heard that Ishigami predicted that Senku would use Science to save the civilization that was turned into stone during the mysterious massive petrification on the surface of the earth that happened thousands of years ago.

Plot prediction

In “Dr. Stone” season 2, it is predicted that Senku and his friends will continue to find a way or a formula to bring back everyone. They will keep on investigating as to how who and why the petrification happened and how the statues could be returned to normal. Of course, they will also have to face Tsukasa at some point.

At any rate, it was revealed in the promo teaser that “Dr. Stone” season 2 will return with a new arc called the “Stone Wars.” It also showed Senku, Chrome, and Gen joining fists as they said their vows to fight until the end, and this suggests that the friends will not give up until they claim victory in the final battle.

The group has more scientific inventions at this point, and they could use everything in their upcoming encounters with their enemies in “Dr. Stone” season 2. But then again, they could not discount the fact that their foes could have prepared like them as well. Thus the fight will not be easy.

There is a prediction that two of Senku’s friends will be “unfrozen,” and they will help the team save the world. They will work together to build and invent more using Science so they could find a solution to depetrified the people.

“Dr. Stone” season 2 will be out in a few months. While the exact premiere date remained unknown at the moment, Game Revolution suggested that it will be here some time in July.
