General Motors is aiming to provide South Korean customers with an "authentically American experience as it positionsitself as a premium brand there..
Its three brands Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC will introduce six new cars in six months and intensify customer services in South Korea.
Roberto Rempel, president, and CEO of GM Korea said they are also targeting to launch more vehicles in 2024.
He added that the new vehicles will reshape customer perception.
The Chevrolet Trax Crossover, the company's next crossover utility vehicle (CUV), will shortly be unveiled. The business will manufacture the new CUVs at its facility in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, and export them to markets worldwide, particularly those in North America.
GM is hoping the Trax Crossover will boost output at these plants.
The new model will be released globally in the first quarter, and GM Korea plans to increase the capacity of its Bupyeong, Changwon, and Boryeong plants to 500,000 vehicles annually.
GM Korea sold 37,237 automobiles on the Korean market in 2022 while also exporting 227,638 automobiles to other markets.
