CBS is once again proving to be way ahead of other networks as it may have its second show, The Young and the Restless, resume filming on July 6, 2020.
In a report on Deadline, the cast and crew have been notified via a letter that bosses are aiming for July 6 to restart production.
The show's bosses are taking notes from The Bold and the Beautiful that had resumed shooting for one day last June 17.
While California has already allowed films and TV productions to resume early this month, it has been strict about having the protocols or precautionary measures being followed at all times to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (CoVid-19).
After undergoing testing protocols, The Bold and Beautiful cast and crew will be back on the set on June 23.
Both shows and the rest of the industry came to a halt in the middle of March following the declaration of the World Health Organization of the coronavirus as a pandemic.
Among the protocols that The Bold and The Beautiful and which The Young and The Restless would also have to adhere to is having an independent CoVid-19 coordinator who will ensure that all precautionary measures are followed.
The cast and crew are to wear face masks at all times except when they are performing and they are to observe social distancing as well.
Prior to being on the set, they should also undergo testing to make sure that no one on the set is positive of CoVid-19.
Productions have also been advised to limit the number of people on the set and to shorten the working hours.
Both shows have been airing repeats since the end of April after they ran out of original episodes.
