One of the most polarizing and long-running topics in the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generation” manga series revolves around Kashin Koji. To this day, fans are debating whether or not to subscribe to theories that the masked Kara Inner has links to Jiraiya.
Will ‘Boruto’ chapter 47 finally unveil Kashin Koji’s face?
When the May installment of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” was released and it was titled “True Identity,” many fans hoped it would put the Kashin Koji theories to rest. It was not the case, though. Koji was only shown in fight scenes while the information dump, courtesy of Amado, still focused on the Otsutsuki clan and who Jigen was.
Looking forward to “Boruto” chapter 47, Koji and Jigen’s fight very likely remains the main plot point. The previous installment already answered crucial questions about Jigen’s past. This month’s chapter should then dedicate some panels to answer the Koji questions.
Theories about Koji and Jiraiya’s connection were revived when Naruto said in chapter 46, “The way that masked guy fights... It’s like...” He might have not finished his sentence, but fans are in unison that Koji’s moves reminded Naruto of his former mentor.
Interesting so KK used the same jutsu on Isshiki that jiraiya used on Urashiki in the time travel arc???? pic.twitter.com/vewg76y3Lk

Before fans get too excited about “Boruto” chapter 47, it should be noted that Koji is quite certain that he was “created” solely to kill Jigen. That use of the word “created” might be a subtle confirmation that he is not existing in the exact body of Jiraiya. The next possible and more convincing explanation would then be Koji is a cyborg made with Jiraiya’s DNA.
“Boruto” has been widely using themes of clones, cyborgs, and cybernetic enhancements, so it would not be surprising if any of these subjects were brought up in “Boruto” chapter 47. A fan on Reddit even suggests that Orochimaru could have participated in making Koji.
‘Boruto’ chapter 47 release date
With these many questions needed to be tackled in “Boruto” chapter 47, fans would be delighted to know that it is confirmed to be released a couple of days earlier than usual. The next installment will be out on Thursday, June 18 instead of the usual 20th of the month schedule. It is already reflected on the Manga Plus website and mobile app, and now on Viz Media as well, from where fans can read the official English translation for free.
