Yuki Tabata’s manga series has hundreds of chapters already, but many questions about Asta’s origin remain unanswered. So it is not surprising that the leaked page showing a memory of Asta’s mother creates hype for “Black Clover” chapter 267.
“Black Clover” chapter 267 leakers have shared that Asta’s mother will appear on the final page. Judging from the sequence of the panels, it seems like her appearance comes in a form of memory – not of Asta but the Anti-Magic Devil. According to fan translations, she is pointing at someone whom she assures is “not a bad guy.” This has started speculations that Asta’s mother may have had a personal relationship with the Anti-Magic Devil.

As for the training, Nacht says Asta needs to defeat the Anti-Magic Devil, or else it would take over his body. “Black Clover” chapter 267 will reveal more about the devil including Asta’s observation that it is also a “shorty” like him. At one point, the devil also manages to summon the Demon Slayer sword.
The big surprise comes from Asta’s own realization: the Anti-Magic Devil does not intend to kill him. It seemingly ties well with the possibility that the devil has had a good rapport with Asta’s mother. But the nature of their relationship is, unfortunately, not revealed in “Black Clover” chapter 267.

Fans will have to wait for the future chapters to learn more about Asta’s origins. “Black Clover” chapter 267 will be released on Sunday, Oct. 11 with the official translation to be digitally released on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump’s websites.
