March is a significant time for AirPods 2 as rumors are speculating that the wireless earphones will come out this month. The device will supposedly be unveiled on March 29 during Apple’s spring event.

But apart from the release date, another rumor has emerged claiming that AirPods 2 will have a significant improvement compared to its predecessor with regards to charging. The source of the leak is XDA writer and TV host Max Weinbach, TechRadar reported.

According to Weinbach, the AirPods 2 is capable of replenishing its battery from fully drained to fully charged in the span of 15 minutes. That’s a drastic change from the three-hour charge-time of the original AirPods.

But with this change also comes an alteration of design concerning the case of the AirPods 2. Apparently, to allow the abovementioned improvement, the case has been outfitted with more Qi coils making it bigger and heavier. No details were given by Weinbach how big the case will be, however.

As for the other features of the AirPods 2, rumors are speculating that the device has been designed to act as a hearing aid. While Apple hasn’t confirmed this information yet, there are hints out there giving weight to this claim.

The AirPods 2 is also said to have Siri in its feature, providing users the ability to interact with the wireless earphones without physically touching it. This will reduce the chances of the device falling off during a run or a jog.

To further decrease the likelihood of this happening, Apple has supposedly coated the AirPods 2 with the same material seen in Google’s Pixel smartphones. Regarding the price of the device, there are two rumors that have been the center of this discussion. One is touting that Apple will tag the device with the same price as its predecessor, while the other is claiming that the Cupertino-based company bumped the costs to about $40.
