My research considers the intersection between children's literature and journalism. I'm a published journalist and academic with an forthcoming article in Children's Literature Association Quarterly, and I've has articles in Children's Literature and Bookbird. I currently teach media and literature at Fort Lewis College and advise the student publication. Before coming to Fort Lewis, I taught literature and writing at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
