I am a researcher and lecturer in health law at the Newcastle Law School, University of Newcastle. I have special interests in public health, legal aspects of health system reform, regulation of new technologies and governance of health research.
I have worked in Australia, Canada and the UK. I qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Canada where I practiced in areas of constitutional, administrative and human rights law before moving into academic research. I have been a research associate with the Health Law Institute, Faculty of Law, University of Alberta, a visiting lecturer with the Faculty of Law, University of Tasmania and a senior research fellow with the Global Public Health Unit, University of Edinburgh.
