Research Fellow, University of Hull
I am a research fellow working on the development of a breathlessness crisis management plan to be used by paramedics when called out to patients with chronic breathlessness. This work derives from my PhD research on the experience of chronic breathlessness and what leads people with chronic breathlessness to present to the emergency department.
I have an interest in cancer-associated thrombosis having recently worked on a qualitative sub-study of the select-d trial on the patient and carer experience of oral and injected anticoagulants.
I am also working with local people and an artist called Anna Bean to develop a photographic exhibition to show what it is like living with breathlessness. This project is funded by Hull City of Culture and the Wellcome Trust.
