Dr Joshua M. Roose is the Director of the Institute for Religion, Politics and Society at the Australian Catholic University. He was previously a visiting scholar at the East Asian Legal Studies Program at Harvard Law School, working on Islamic law in Indonesia (2014-2016).
Joshua is a member of the Expert Advisory Panel, Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet Institute for Social Cohesion and sits on the Federal Attorney General’s Department, Panel of Experts for CVE. He is the Australian Editor for the Harvard Law School SHARIAsource legal database and current Secretary of the Australian Association of Islamic and Muslim Studies (AAIMS).
His most recent book is Political Islam and Masculinity: Australian Muslim Men, New York, Palgrave Macmillan (2016).
