Prof Morris is a Professor in Medical Statistics and previously worked in the department of Primary Care and Population Health at University College London, where for many years he was co-director of the British Regional Heart Study.
He is interested in the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease, and specifically in why excess coronary heart disease deaths occur among older people during winter throughout Europe.
