Francesco is a public economist interested in welfare analysis of public policy, with a particular devotion to the equality of opportunity perspective. His research aims at establishing implementable criteria that incorporate equity, along with efficiency concerns in policy evaluation. His applied research involves the evaluation of kindergarten universal coverage expansion in Norway, of educational reforms in France, of redistribution through in-kind transfers in Italy and of urban quality of life distribution. Francesco is now a post-doc researcher at CEPS/INSTEAD Luxembourg and at the University of Verona, Italy. His research is supported by a Marie Curie fellowship under the FP7-COFUND scheme. Before that, Francesco was a PhD student at THEMA-University of Cergy-Pontoise, France. His PhD dissertation was awarded the "2013 Best PhD Thesis Prize" by the Italian Economic Association.
