Lata’s research interests and expertise lie in the chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis of drugs of abuse and pharmaceutical compounds from different sample types (blood, urine, hair). She is also researching on analysis of seized street drugs, spiked drinks, food supplements and herbal medicines/ products. Lately, her research activities have focused on drug facilitated sexual assault (DFSA) investigation and increased awareness and recognition of such cases.
