PhD candidate (Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre), University of Glasgow
My main interest is chronic myeloid leukaemia, which is a cancer of the blood primarily affecting adults. The aim of my research is to better understand the molecular changes that allow cancerous stem cells to survive and thrive in this disease.
I graduated with a BSc in genetics from the University of Edinburgh in 2014, before moving to the Paul O' Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre where I am completing my PhD with the University of Glasgow. My PhD project incorporates lab-based work as well as computational investigations of large-scale data.
