I am a Researcher at the Swedish South Asian Studies Network at Lund University. I am working on a project that examines the history and sociology of Afghan refugees and asylum-seekers in the United States and Sweden since the Cold War. I am also a Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley.
I have a published a monograph with Palgrave Macmillan. My articles have appeared in the journals Modern Intellectual History and History of Political Thought. A forthcoming article will be published in The Times Literary Supplement.
I am the Founding President of the UC Berkeley Humanities and Social Sciences Association.
I have taught at San Quentin Prison University Project, UC Berkeley, and Stanford, among others.
