Anthony McDonnell (BBS, MCIPD, PhD) is Full Professor of Human Resource Management and Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Cork University Business School (CUBS), UCC. Prior to joining UCC, he was Head of the Management Group and Reader in Management at Queen's University Belfast, and has also held appointments at the University of South Australia and University of Newcastle (Australia). Anthony's research expertise and interests reside in the areas of talent management and international human resource management. His research has been funded by the Australian and Irish Research Councils and Ireland Canada University Foundation. He has an extensive publication record in the leading international journals including the Journal of World Business, Human Resource Management (US), Human Relations, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Management International Review and Human Resource Management Journal. Anthony is also Editor-in-Chief of Human Resource Management Journal, sits on the Editorial Advisory Boards of 5 journals, is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Australia, and is Vice-Chair of the Irish Academy of Management.
