Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Molecular and Cellular Biology), University of Leeds
I study protein import into the peroxisome, a small metabolic cellular compartment involved in the breakdown of fatty acids and harmful reactive oxygen species such as hydrogen peroxide.
During my PhD, I identified the molecular mode of action of TENin1, a small molecule inhibitor of protein trafficking. TENin1 changes the distribution of plant hormone auxin inside plant's organs and reduces plant's perception to gravity.
My research topic involves cell biology and signalling, molecular biology, plant growth and development, plant physiology, and biochemistry.
