Mark Blagrove is Director of the Swansea University Sleep Laboratory. He studies the memory consolidation functions of sleep and the possible role of dreaming in these functions. He also studies the aetiology of nightmares, the relationship of dream content to waking life, and the induction and characteristics of lucid dreams. He conducts dream sharing groups and currently researches the effects of dream sharing on empathy.
