Mark was a City investment adviser, strategy consultant to an oil producer and completed his PhD on energy and electricity markets. He researches portfolio selection, investment returns, Ethical, Social and Governance investing (ESG - including decarbonisation) and is a member of Energy Lancaster working on energy production.
He was programme Director of the MSc in Finance, Department Head, then Associate Dean and Postgraduate Director for Lancaster's ranked programmes including the MBAs and Masters in Management. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
