Richard C. Delerins est anthropologue. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur l’économie du corps et les comportements alimentaires : notamment les relations entre valorisation du corps et “stratégies nutritives” en France, aux Etats-Unis et en Asie (Chine, Corée du Sud, Japon). Ses recherches qui intègrent la génomique, le big data et les algorithmes éclairent les fondements de l’économie du “mieux-être”, la convergence beauté, alimentation, santé, les nouvelles pratiques corporelles et les nouveaux comportements de “consommation cognitive”. Richard Delerins a reçu pour ses travaux de recherche le Prix Nivea du CNRS.

Aux Etats-Unis, Richard Delerins explore la façon dont la génomique, les algorithmes et le big data transforment les pratiques alimentaires et façonnent le “sentiment de soi”. Ses recherches de terrain actuelles portent également sur les comportements de consommation des “millennials” et de la “i-Gen”.

Richard C. Delerins est Docteur en philosophie (Panthéon-Sorbonne) et ancien élève de l’EHESS, de l’ESSEC et de l’Université de Californie à Los Angeles (UCLA Anderson School ). Il enseigne en France et aux Etats-Unis.
