Chris Rojek is Professor of Sociology at City University. He has held Professorships since 1994 at The University of Staffordshire; Nottingham Trent University and Brunel University, West London. He is the author of 14 solo authored books, 12 edited and co-edited books and over 50 refereed articles. He regards himself to be a General Sociologist, but has particular expertise in the sociology of celebrity, the sociology of culture, social theory, leisure and tourism.
