Dr Laura Davy is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion stream at the Public Service Research Group, UNSW Canberra. Her research focuses on disability and care theory and policy. She completed her PhD at the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Sydney and also holds a Masters in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communications from the University of Technology, Sydney. She previously worked at the Social Policy Research Centre on a range of commissioned research projects such as a review of the implementation of the National Disability Strategy 2010-2020, and at the City Futures Research Centre, UNSW, where she worked in the disability, ageing, and housing policy fields.
