Dr. Renée Street is a project manager in the Environment & Health Research Unit. Renée is also an honorary lecturer at the Discipline of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research focuses on evaluating heavy metal compounds which enter the food chain and determining the potential environmental and human impacts thereof. She has a keen interest in indigenous knowledge systems with particular emphasis on public health issues and policy development.
