Mncedisi Maphalala is a Professor and Dean in the Faculty of Education at the University of Zululand. He has previously worked for KZN Department of Education, University of the Witwatersrand and the University of South Africa. Between June and August 2015 he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of North Dakota (USA). His research interests are curriculum studies and assessment in education.
