Lecturer in Health and Physical Education, Director of Student Engagement School of Education, University of Tasmania
I am a lecturer in Health and Physical Education at the University of Tasmania. I lecture in health and physical activity, educational pedagogy, community sport and recreation, and reflective practice. I also occupy a role titled "Director of Student Engagement"; this involves communicating and liaising with students about their study experience, managing attrition, promoting courses of study, collaborating with key educational stakeholders and partners, and valuing the student experience. My PhD research thesis investigated the use of a passive prompt to change occupational sitting behaviour and increase regular workplace movement in desk-based employees.
