DANBURY, Conn., Nov. 08, 2017 -- Westchester Publishing Services is pleased to announce they have entered into a multi-year contract with Rutgers University Press. Under the terms of this agreement, Westchester Publishing Services will provide editorial and composition (typesetting) services for the bulk of the monographs, trade titles, and other books Rutgers University Press publishes each year. Westchester’s market-leading production and editorial staff, its network of copyeditors, and superior composition services were important considerations for Rutgers when deciding on a firm to manage its pre-press production work. With this contract, Rutgers University Press can further pursue other areas of the book editorial and production process which are of equally significant importance, including growing the partnerships it has cultivated with other university presses including Bucknell University Press. Founded in 1936, Rutgers University Press publishes nearly 100 titles per year.
According to Micah Kleit, Director, Rutgers University Press, “Rutgers University Press is excited to select Westchester Publishing Services to help us expand our editorial and production capacity. Key reasons we selected Westchester include their focus on producing high-quality work, an incredible team, and its great reputation in the publishing industry.”
“We are delighted to be entering into this partnership with Rutgers University Press. This agreement demonstrates how partnering with a reliable vendor for editorial and production services is a cost-effective model that allows university presses to focus on their core mission of producing works of vital importance to the scholarly community,” said Susan Baker, Director of Editorial Services at Westchester Publishing Services’ Danbury, CT headquarters.
Tyler M. Carey, Director of Business Development, added, “Our partnership with Rutgers University Press continues the expansion of the work we do in the university press space, supporting editorial and production needs for more than 40 university presses. We’re proud of this partnership and the model we have built to help university presses and publishers in the trade, academic, and other publishing markets minimize their costs, condense schedules, and maintain quality.”
