Unique Culture Leads to Low Turnover and High Employee Engagement
DALLAS, Nov. 17, 2016 -- The Delta Companies (TDC), a leading staffing firm for healthcare professionals nationwide, has announced it has been recognized as a Top Place to Work 2016 by Dallas Morning News. In conjunction with Workplace Dynamics, DMN surveys thousands of employees across hundreds of companies to uncover the best in management, benefits, pay, and more. TDC was named number 15 in the mid-sized companies category. This is the first time TDC has been named a Top Place to Work.
"Being recognized as a Top Place to Work in DFW is a goal that we have been striving for as an organization,” said Calli Corley, Director of People for TDC. “I love that these ratings are based on employee feedback and that our members feel engaged and confident in our organization. Hundreds of organizations take part in this survey and to make the list is not something that is easily done. This is a great honor and something we don’t take for granted.”
TDC’s culture has long been recognized internally and externally for being unique, empowering, and fun. This is a company that refers to employees as “members” and where everyone is encouraged to celebrate others’ success. Employees stay motivated with contests, leadership events and celebrations, as well as awards, parties, and special events, such as The Delta Companies Olympics and Bring Your Kids to Work day. In 2015, the company sponsored a trip to Mexico for every employee and a guest in order to celebrate an EPIC year in which the company exceeded all of its revenue milestones and outpaced the industry for overall growth.
TDC is such a popular place to work that scores from the Membership Engagement Survey, a measurement of staff engagement, have reached a record high, and retention rates for DHP are among the best in the industry at 68 percent.
In addition to empowerment, recognition, and good benefits, TDC is also known for its widespread philanthropy. For example, in 2015, TDC raised $139,180.95 and collected 1,226 toys and books, all to benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
