Song Joong Ki will be back on TV as “Arthdal Chronicles” has been confirmed by tvN for season 2. It was reported that filming for the drama would also start soon as pre-production works are ongoing already.
Renewal and production details
The announcement for “Arthdal Chronicles” season 2 was released more than a week ago, and it was revealed that the main stars of the drama that include Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ji Won, and Kim Ok Bin are coming back to the filming set to reprise their roles either on September or October. Soompi reported that the production team is setting the date of shooting according to what will work with the cast members’ schedules.
Song Joong Ki will definitely be back as Eun Som and Sa Ya in “Arthdal Chronicles” season 2, and the same could be said with the other main characters. However, it was reported that they will have a new director.
There are reports that Kim Won Suk will be replaced by “It’s Okay, That’s Love” director Kim Kyu Tae and “Her Private Life” Hong Jong Chan. The reason for his departure was the fact that he left Studio Dragon that produced the drama and transferred to Kakao M.
