DALLAS, May 17, 2016 -- Sedgwick LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Egeland has joined the firm as a partner in its Dallas office.
Bringing extensive experience defending corporate clients in product liability and business litigation, Egeland has managed cases from inception through successful resolution by dismissal, settlement or trial. Her litigation experience stretches across numerous industries, including the defense of product manufacturers, corporations, banks, financing institutions, premises owners and individuals in product liability and business litigation. In addition to her product liability and business litigation, Egeland has defended clients in employment disputes, large commercial cases, construction liens and several cases related to fire casualty and property loss.

Egeland is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from expert witness deposition strategy and employer liability and intentional tort claims to alternative fee arrangements and matters relating to the effective and efficient practice of law. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine for three consecutive years. She is licensed in Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Mississippi and has been admitted to practice in all federal courts in Texas. Egeland is also involved with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and serves on the Commercial Litigation and Women in the Law committees for the Defense Research Institute. She earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, and her B.A. from Rice University.
