What:
Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq:QCOM), a technology pioneer that is leading the way to 5G and a new era of intelligent, connected devices, and XPRIZE, the global leader in incentivized prize competitions, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to celebrate the culmination of the $10M Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE, a global competition to develop a consumer-focused, mobile integrated diagnostic device inspired by the medical Tricorder of Star Trek® fame, first shown to TV viewers more than 50 years ago.
In honor of the occasion, Rick Valencia, President of Qualcomm Life and Marcus Shingles, CEO of XPRIZE, will ring the Opening Bell, alongside Star Trek’s Robert Picardo and the two finalist teams and their tricorder-inspired devices.
