Rociada, NM, June 09, 2017 -- Pendaries Village Golf Course, an Associa Canyon Gate managed resort, hosted the “Folds of Honor” golf tournament and fundraiser to help raise money to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. The fundraising event was held on Saturday, May 20th at the beautiful Pendaries Village Golf Course in Rociada, New Mexico.
The tournament featured 84 players from around the state, competing in a scramble game format. Prior to tee-off, the event featured a 30-minute program that included the national anthem, color guard and several guest speakers. Chris Stewart, Associa employee and Pendaries’ golf pro, was on hand to provide helpful golf tips and tricks. After the festivities, hamburgers and hot dogs were provided to all players and guests, and awards were given out to the finalist.
“We were extremely honored to participate in this event,” stated Kimberly Corcoran, Associa Canyon Gate president. “We have immense respect for our service men and women and want to do everything we can to help give back to them and their families. Folds of Honor is an amazing organization and we look forward to helping again next year.”
