SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 12, 2016 -- P2 Energy Solutions today announced the release of the P2 Oil & Gas Platform, a fully integrated data, transaction and workflow solution that enables upstream oil and gas teams to effectively manage every facet of their business, from the field to the back office. P2 made the announcement at its annual user conference, P2 ASCEND, where hundreds of oil and gas accounting, data, land, production and reserves professionals were gathered.
“The P2 Oil & Gas Platform is a continuation of P2’s product-integration strategy and demonstrates our commitment to delivering a seamless software and data experience for teams across the upstream enterprise,” said Ben Wilson, P2’s Chief Technology Officer. “We’re very excited about the additional value we can deliver to our customers through the platform.”
The P2 Oil & Gas Platform features:
- Best-In-Class E&P Capabilities: The platform includes the industry’s best oil and gas accounting, oil and gas data, land management, production and reserves management applications and capabilities.
- Integrated, End-To-End Workflows: All of the platform’s applications are fully integrated, providing an end-to-end solution for upstream oil and gas. The solution also leverages web services, which means any solution, be it a P2 product, a third-party application or a solution provided by one of P2’s partners, can easily integrate into it. The integration-friendly nature of the platform enables P2’s customers to leverage all of their software investments.
- Cloud Availability: Because the platform is available in the P2 Cloud, it’s easy to consume as a SaaS service; users simply log in and go. Client data is kept secure via P2’s data security solution, P2 ProShield. The platform is available on premise as well.
The release of the P2 Oil & Gas Platform comes at a time when oil and gas companies are focused on making enterprise-wide efficiency improvements and adjusting to what very well may be a “lower for longer” price environment.
“And that’s exactly why we developed this platform – to help our customers eliminate process bottlenecks, simplify their workflows and operate more efficiently across the board,” Wilson said.
Added an executive from a leading global resources company: “An open platform underpinned by a technology like web services is fantastic. It also gives us the confidence that the end-to-end integration will be more robust and expansion of offerings will be successful.”
