The fourth and last season of “Ozark” has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The crisis has halted filming and other production works since people were not allowed to leave their homes.
Start of filming announcement
Now, in a new update, Jason Bateman, the lead cast member, director and producer of “Ozark” season 4, made an announcement recently to tell the cast and crew that they will be filming again soon. He said that the team already made plans for the start of shooting for the final season.
“We’re going to start November 9,” Bateman told IndieWire in an interview. “Everything is moving well toward that and we’re very confident in the guidelines and protocols we’re going to be following. We’ve got tons of consultants and we’re learning a lot from other productions.”
He added that before returning to work, they are preparing everything to ensure the safety of everyone. They also want to make sure that the protocols are followed well so they will all be able to work safely.
“We’re prepared for all of that,” he went on to say. “It will be disruptive but we’ve got to get back to work and we’re getting it as safe as we possibly can.”
They reiterated that the production team’s highest priority is the health and safety of the “Ozark” family. They have consulted with the officials and will apply all the protocols to work without worries.
What to expect
The fourth season of “Ozark” is the last in the series so it is expected to tie all the loose ends before leaving the broadcast. The Byrde family’s fate will be sealed in this installment and obviously, Wendy and Marty will have to deal with tons of dangers as they are now deeply involved in the criminal world.
Although it was predicted that the Byrde couple will die in “Ozark” season 4, Express suggested that there is still a chance that they could turn things around and start their lives over again. This time, they could live cleanly and stay out of trouble from now on.
Meanwhile, a surprising twist could also be waiting for the fans as there is a prediction that Wendy’s brother, Ben is alive. They said that he could have been saved and turned into a police agent in “Ozark” season 4.
