NEKOOSA, Wis., May 09, 2017 -- On May 4th, 2017, Nekoosa extended its Synaps® XM portfolio to include a 12 mil product to the already expansive line of polyester based synthetic paper engineered for high heat, dry toner digital printing.
Nekoosa now offers a complete range of thicknesses and sizes in the Synaps ® portfolio including 5, 8, 10, 12, and 14 mil and sheets ranging from 8.5” X 11” to 14.33” X 20.5”.
Dan Garrity, Director of Sales, Nekoosa, states, "The range of product sizes will enable printers to optimize their digital print capabilities and provide multiple product and price options to their customers."
The technology behind Synaps® allows for toner fusing which creates a natural resistant surface to water, chemicals and grease. The polyester base of the substrate provides tear strength and dimensional stability which eliminates frayed edges and de-lamination issues.
The Synaps® 12 mil is best suited for, but not limited to: menus, place mats, table tents, coasters, recipe cards; maps and information directories; ID cards, medical and record charts; POP signage, collateral, merchandising.
