WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 16, 2016 -- Navient (Nasdaq:NAVI), the nation’s leading loan management, servicing and asset recovery company, today announced the amendment of transaction agreements for two Navient-sponsored securitization trusts totaling $2 billion of bonds backed by federally guaranteed student loans. The amendments were effective as of Feb. 16, 2016 and extend the legal final maturity date to 2045 on the senior tranche of SLM Student Trust 2012-4 and to 2070 on both the senior and subordinated tranches of SLM Student Trust 2012-8.
